One of the main reasons people set goals, is because it helps give you direction and purpose in your life. Having a clear outline can also give you clarity on the areas you may need to improve on, in order to get your outcome. Setting the right goals is important for success. So how do you know if you’re doing it right?

You can start by taking a moment to think carefully about what you want your life to look like 5, 10, 20 or 50 years from now.

• What things do you want to have?
• What problems do you want to solve?
• What do you want to learn about?
• Who do you want to be, do and have?
• How do you want to feel every day?

The more clearly you can visualise the details, the easier it will be to set goals that align with you and draw you towards them. Accomplishing your goals takes massive action, but if you get the goal setting part right, then you’re already halfway there.
