Is fear stopping you from moving forward? There are some fears that seem really obvious, like public speaking for some people. Then there are those fears that are just below the surface so you don’t even know they are there, you just know something is holding you back. Have you ever felt like that?

  • Are you wanting to start or grow your business but you’re afraid that you don’t know enough or you’re not ready. Do you keep thinking “what if it fails”, or worse, “what if it succeeds and I’m not prepared to deal with it”?
  • After you’ve been on a date, do you agonise over how to follow up, afraid of what they might think of you, or that they don’t feel the same way?
  • Have you been wanting to try a new exercise like surfing, yoga or dancing, but you still haven’t gone to a class because you’re scared of what other people might think?
  • Are you in a long term relationship, and you’ve changed your mind about moving in together, but you’re too scared to tell your partner how you really feel?

How do you become aware of these fears and overcome them? The first step is understanding what fear actually is.

Fear is your body's response to a perceived threat. A small amount of fear can be helpful at times, because it cautions and alerts you to stay safe and helps you survive by prompting you to think before taking action. It’s when fear becomes excessive, that it can be disempowering and stops you from taking action on the things that you really want.

So how do you overcome fear when it gets out of control? There are  quick and easy ways that you can use to navigate fear patterns and stop them from running your life. When you understand that you’re in control, you can learn ways to take charge of the direction of your relationships, career, finances, and health once more.

There are many methods to tackle unreasonable fear. Some will help you deal with fear through a few simple steps while others will evoke a positive change in your life by helping you get rid of the fear.

  • Have you ever let fear get in the way of you asking someone out, asking for a raise, having fun and enjoying your social life, or even starting that project you’ve been thinking about for years?
  • Are you scared to leave a job you hate but you’re not sure how much longer you can stick with it?
  • Have you ever thought you’d solved a problem in your life but it keeps coming back?
  • Do you keep repeating the same negative emotions over and over again?

Have you ever noticed that most children seem fearless? Fear is a learned response. Isn’t that interesting? If you can learn it, you can un-learn it too. There are proven techniques to help rewire your brain, connect with your courage and be fearless in the face of challenges.
